AN ALBUM OF MEDITATIVE MINIMALISM IN TWO MOODS

with structures inspired by the natural world

WATER MUSIC uses repetition and phasing of sped-up patterns to run while staying still, like water passing over boulders in a creek or leaves fluttering at the tips of branches. There is no development in this piece.

TIME WAITS stretches a short improvisation across a long period of time. It is almost static, but has a determined and dramatic underlying movement, like ice slowly melting. There are long periods of silence in this piece.
